On a grain of sand
Things happen. No ordinary person can foretell them. Like breaking a limb today, eloping tomorrow or living till the day after. Well, no one knows. A consternation can either be of joy or dread, any day, any time.
For me, tearing a ligament during the national service is perhaps a blessing. If you believe in karma especially, that might turn out to be an invisible hand (not quoting Adam Smith here) pulling my foot away from a trouble-hole some other day. Who knows. But one thing for sure is that my driving lessons and tests are gonna be postponed. Even this is good and bad. Less time to enjoy sitting on the driver's seat showing off with a hunky face (albeit I prefer to hire a chauffeur), but this gives me more excuses to take free rides on friends' and save a tad of my mom's cash. Haha.
Less time for cars, more time for friends. Isn't that wonderful. Bah. :D

In the sky
So the celebration of my birthday goes on way past the actual date. Haha. Thanks to Wenting for the meal, movie and neo-prints (yeah, can anyone believe it, neo-prints strives in the industry after so so many years). The Woodsman was quite a probing film, climbing into the skin of a self-conflicted ex-criminal. Short and cliffhanging, leaving interesting questions marks behind.
Life as a tank technician is pretty monotonous by the way. Can't really see how I'm going to even finishing the three-month course less talking about the eighteen months after that. Oh, this quote from my new platoon commander is pretty fallacious (though purportedly inspiring), "We are never the second-class soldiers compared to commandos or anyone else." Somehow that gave me the impression that there's already a presumption of us being so while stating it. What the heck. Hahaha.

Simply delightful
My new iMac G5 has just arrived! Totally awesome. I love its smell and the simplicity of it. And now I love my room. :)
But it's gonna take a while before I can start chatting on Messenger again for it's really troublesome to download so many applications before downloading MSN Messenger itself. I'm gonna join the strikes against the Microsoft monopoly really soon. Haha. Nonetheless, Macs just rock. It's been ten years before I'm owning an Apple again. Hello again, my good friend. It's great to see you grow from a humongous 33Mhz+16MB machine to a simple 1.8Ghz+768MB piece of art which blends in to my wall. Lovely.
Oh well. Thanks dad.

Fork in the road
That was quite a birthday this year.
Good company. Banana milkshake. Seiko watch. Nike cap. Tiramitsu cake. And loads of other stuff.
I feel blessed but somehow unloved.
Don't wanna be trapped in a never-ending fairy tale.
I missed somebody on my birthday.
Tomorrow comes today.

Tale of the tower
Felt like a retard sitting beside two other retards (Hocks and Amogh :P) last night, watching Team America, some exclusively corny show. Had no idea which side the scriptwriters were on for they were totally cynnical and critical against every single soul and thing on earth and making really blockheaded jokes. No wonder it's the exclusive showcase by Cathay Cineleisure. Bah.
And later we showed Hocks how Orchard is really like late at night when we headed westwards from Lido. Somehow felt like we're in Thailand or something. Well, one advice to all is, don't ye roam around Orchard after midnight if you aren't morally upright like Hocks. Hahaha. :)

Be a bee
If only the sky is blue, earth is green and violets are blue. The world'd be a better place like it was, millions of years ago.
People everywhere, just that they'd be wearing leaves fashionably, and stroll along huge old trees with beautiful crowns like the present day Ngee Ann City and Wisma Atria.
Lives don't change after so so long. But pace does. And technology and politics have caused the deterioration of our culture.
If only roses are red, soil is brown and darkness is black. Nature will then take its course, naturally.

A tap on the head
Just read Theresa's blog. That is making feel really guilty now. Her life's brimming with constructive activities like work, interships, projects and studies while I'm wasting my dear time every day in the army and out of boredom like a stream of muck along a maladorous drain. Hafta start doing my homework or I'll really become one of Charlie's fallen angels. Hah.
Timeout
A-level results were all right. AAAB(C5). Not so bad and not good either. Reckon it's time to move on to the next phase of life now.
Went chilling out with Mengxin last night. Really enjoyed spending time with her. Think it's the ultimate monotony and frustration I've suffered in national service that made me cherish things outside the camp as if every day's the end of the world or something. All thanks to the infantry. Haha. Anyway, I's happy that she liked the Irish Beef Stew I recommended at the Esplanade for that's my favourite too. Flaming Lambourgini was somewhat terrifying to me at Boat Quay. Hafta admit that I went a tat outta control for a while after that. Fortunately the jazz band at the pub was outstanding enough to keep my cool. :)
And I'm so indecisive on my application to the NUS right now. There ain't many courses at all to choose from but reckon it's utterly difficult to pick something from the university which does not offer what my heart tells me to take up. Right now there's nothing apart from basketball in which this university attracts me with, sadly so. I'm truly totally lost.
