Is it gonna rain soon?

Friday night at Dragonfly was totally reminiscent of clubs in Shanghai. While the (relative) magnificence of the brick-walled St. James Power Station relates to the Xin Tian Di, the ultimate area of luxurious restaurants, pubs and clubs in Shanghai, the party scene at Dragonfly was surprisingly similar, too. Besides the Mandarin being the major language there and that pretty girls can be wild (or look wild), it reminds people that partying at clubs is something for the young-at-heart-and-silver-on-head as well. :P It wasn't a bad place to be at with friends after all.

Restrained by a serious back sprain, hard-core dancing and wee-hour partying was missed but no worries. Will be back!

Long time passing

Met Yun and caught up with the faraway friend yesterday. Can't believe that someone's gonna become Dr. (PhD) Tan in 7 years' time! Disgustingly fast isn't it. Urghz. Went to the new chocolate cafe at Paragon and it wasn't bad a cosy little place to have a warm afternoon tea and some extraordinarily sinful chocolate cake. It's really great meeting close friends from overseas once in a while, for they provide you with extra (duo core) motivation and more ambitious dreams every time after hearing about their lives of exploration, achievement and satisfaction. While she's reluctant to go back to school, that's such a place where people die to be.

Then met the lovely fairer half at Novena and tested the Korean family restaurant over there. Somewhat reminiscent of grandma's northern Chinese cuisines, there wasn't really anything else great about the unsuccessfully romantic place serving mouse-share of dishes with disproportionate prices apart from the supermarket kimchi.

Anyways, massage oils from Penang is astonishingly effective on anonymously received back sprains. Thank you so much, bebe. :)

The new weekend

The Burmese restaurant, Inle, at Peninsular Plaza is the new haven for food. The kind of taste between Northern Indian, Vietnamese and Thai dishes is scrumptiously splendid, while being unaware of the authentic taste of Burmese cuisines might be the bliss for ignorance.

Food exploring, which is unsurprisingly usually accompanied by geographical explorations of cold-spots on the island, is becoming an amazingly fun weekend activity of late. Often talked about without genuine experience, reckon it's something not to be missed in life from now on. For after all, according to Clara, food is one of the few enjoyments of life. :)
