Re-railed

The every moment spent with thee,
Glows my heart with warmth and glee.
Bright delight in the things I see,
Over the moon you flew back with me.

Not coffee, please

Just came back from a apologetically late breakfast with Yi Lin. People say Holland Village has been transformed over the years but nothing had significantly changed, especially the stores inside the mall that retained their old-fashioned glitz. Seeing the much more occasional but familiar green skirts dotting into the morning picture it was nothing but nostalgia that poured into mind. The blueberry cream cake at the bakery (no, can't remember the name but of course it wasn't some internationally acclaimed, typically Singaporean bakery chain) was surprisingly outshining its price and accompanying it a pair of sandwiches with a cuppa original earl grey made today's breakfast more than tantalising to all the senses out-of-bed.

Anyway, it was great seeing the lawyer-in-training back from Cambridge, wearing her own brand of earrings which glittered most brightly in the fashion jewellery shops at the mall. As the number of friends singing the songs of the Great Britain exponentially increases of late, reckon the uninvitingly cheerless skies above the Union Jack isn't an everyday affair after all. Well, the major eventual decision in life is nearing, finally. Don't exactly know how to put it, but, Auspcium Meliories Aevi.

P/S (to insiders of the joke): always look for the bus numbers before sitting down at any stand. :P

Beauties and the beast

Balcony Bar was visited by two of the all-time Rafflesians' favourites last night. One of them, tall, pretty and unique while the other, talented, radiant and intelligent. So it's needless to describe how it felt to be chilling out with these two great friends, especially at the moment before they fly to London and Dublin again. (Okay, enough of clues.)

Anyway, reckon it really isn't easy keeping friendships going as the series of time-tests become trickier along the way, but as long as a little effort is put in friends close to the heart will still be warm and antidotal no matter what. Way to go you girls, gonna miss you both for a while again.

Mirror, mirror

Received an issue of the latest RInspire, the school periodical written by juniors, really juniors, from the beloved alma mater. More than excited to find it in the mail-box like every other quarter, it is heavenly heart-warming flipping through the pages of this issue which explored into the thought of the Rafflesian Spirit. Invigorated, inspired to be more exact, when an Old Boy gets a gentle reminder from the guiding light on his journey in life and on how much deviation he has derailed from. It isn't that sinister to look at the past after all. Thank you, Alma Mater.

Soot-nosed

Snubbed by Erickson. According to Weibo, he replied with a "Nnnnnn... No," due to the already oversized team in NUS. No comments, or rather, don't have any really. Just a little affected but more determined to get something done on the sacred court since currently it's the little green men's vacation period. Hopelessly in need of some technical satisfaction right now, and badly. Or what're the (old Republic Polytechnic's) courts for, anyway?

Sitting in the office is becoming exponentially sentimental as the number of working days decreases like chopping cucumbers. Not blaming on the stars that misleadingly lead people into becoming what they are stereotyped to be, but it is human nature, isn't it? Like it or not, reckon it can still be somehow classified into Joie de Vivre, if one does faithfully enjoy life to begin with.

Gummy Bubble

10pm, Friday:
Taxi Driver A, "Heading to Clarke Quay now? So early huh."
Mmm.

4am, Saturday:
Taxi Driver B, "You know why I'm waiting here. Double O's dead. We know always what's hot and what's cold."
Erpz.

Who says Singapore isn't partying enough? :P
