Still Disconnected

Dumb workers. Didn't know moving to a brand new place would cost me 6 weeks of computer and internet access. 4 weeks more to getting back my motherboard from Taiwan, hopefully repaired(for free though =D). Arghz. And now I hafta walk for two dozen minutes just to come to Queenstown Library to check mail on a public computer! "Dots," quote Yew Thong.

But last week was really something I'ld call extreme fun.

With David and James back on the island for their first summer break, my RI 2002 basketball teammates met after quite a while. Without doing much in that weekend nostalgia was brimmed in our hearts. Missed my captain lots. Haha now he has to speak Chinese to us to avoid getting mocked at for his American English accent's surprisingly strong for someone who's been staying in the States for less than a year. =D Mahalo foam party on 3rd July! I knew these dudes have got something, man.

Met lots of friends this school vacation. No, I meant LOADS. I feel pretty blessed (oops sorry Yun Lei hafta borrow your nickname here) seeing so many familiar faces who never fade off in to the background of photographs. Sometimes one's just so happy to get out of the "unique" RJ trap for a bit. Hahaha.

Went out with dance senior Amanda on Thursday and it was immense euphoria. The movie Seance was really holy crap though. But neoprint-taking (after like 4 years) and chatting over the dinner table at Senses Restaurant at the Esplanade were great. Just realised lately she's quite someone to chill out with. =) Great stuff.

There're so many things that've happened! Like the NKF carnival, Lilies on the River CIP during which Zhi Kai beared the lousy pool table at Paradiz for 3 hours, winning the 3-on-3 tournament at the Maris Stella Primary Basketball Reunion with Pri. 6 teammates Jonathan and Puay Yee, etc, etc.. Whoa. Just realised my social life's climbing up skyscrapers like Spiderman and my mugging life's lying somewhere in the Mid-Alantic Ocean Trenches.

Friendly match against Coach Erickson's ex-team Sports Ambassadors tomorrow! Think this'll be the last time J1s and J2s play as a team, before we fight it out against each other in the Gryphon's Cup in August. Have fun guys!

I'ld love to mutter so much more about the life of a yet insignificant particle of the universe here but my cashcard balance's low. Reckon I'll continue writing, mumbling and doodling in my diary later. Hahaha. Off I shall go now. Will be back, soon? =) Heez.

Monotone

The day's spent outside has been amazingly more monotonous than if I've stayed home and rot. Boring NS medical check-up, NJC AEP camp where I knew no one but Huishan and a complete stonning session with Yew Thong. By the way, zero studying has been done. Sad but what can I do? Just don't feel like it yet. =P

Keep Walking

Today has so far been totally hilarious. Met buddy Baowen after lunch and went to town to do the usual stuff. After shopping and playing pool, every humongously humorous thing began. Felt like it was more of a 10-mile trekking day than a brotherly outing. From our place to Serangoon MRT station, from Douby Ghaut to Orchard, from Suntec City to National Library. Bleahz! Lady luck was really with someone else this evening when we stonned for an hour or so at the bus-stop outside Suntec City only to realise that bus 70 doesn't operate on weekdays and then walked to the bus-stop along Nicholl Highway and remembered that public transport is being affected by the heaven-knows-what-happened incident only when we reach there.

Haven't really talked to him for like half a year and found that nothing has changed other than his physique. He's become huge. Titan eh? =) Thanks for the day man. Reckon both of us haven't been laughing this much for the whole year like today. Well, sometimes, it's kinda true that things change but people don't; though sometimes it's the other way round. Just hope that the closest friendship built within 10 years won't be blended with the thin air after this Sunday. Things will always be the same. Haha.

Third day of June vacation. Spent it with two Sec 1 classmates. Lubin and Hongkai are funny dudes. Oh well. Everyone thinks he's closer to his RI schoolmates than his JC ones. Didn't know people reckon this way even when they aren't in some sinister muck-hole called RJC. Hah.

Anyway RI's system has become rigid. We were supposed to play tennis there just now but was (nearly) manhandled from the empty courts because we didn't book them. Who in the world will bother to book when there ain't even a shadow in the courts?! Even the Director of Academic Studies was inflexible like some robot. "Hafta follow the system and not just step in whenever you like." Whatever, old woman, whatever. I haven't felt such sadness being a RI old boy before, till that moment.

By the way, I hate it when people get uncontactable. Or perhaps they just choose to disappear together with the dust on my head.
