Art, extended

3 reasons why one should take art:

1. It's artistic.
2. It makes you artistic.
3. It makes you wanna be artistic.

Erpx. Heez.

Art!

Art Paper 1 tomorrow. Yay. Gonna enjoy it.

I'm looney.

Zero

I met her. Inevitable awkwardness was aggrivated by her bringing a friend along. Squirmed at each other's feet for the most of the time, in silence. Don't know what came over me but felt my stomach turned and couldn't eat any food I'd ordered. Think it's her absence in the past 6 months. Didn't speak much. But our actions spoke a thousand words, in tacit. Don't know what's the outcome. I'm just dumb.

I did miss her.

But this was it.

I don't know what'll be next, or will there be a next.

But I'm happy, at least, to see her once more.

I'm satisfied.

Untitled

For you, I have been waiting
Patiently, I have been counting
Day by day, I have been thinking
About you, I think it's time.

In dreams, your image is nearing
To me, I have been suffering
Badly, it's you I have been waiting
Finally, this will be the day.

Project Work causes absolute irate

Rigidity. Ironic. Dull. That's PW.

At least 4 hours are wasted every week doing this nonsensical stuff. And I hafta go to Yeo Feng's and Carol's houses to do it this evening, and perhaps even hafta stay overnight to hopefully complete the final report and our product - "Mo-teen-vation", a motivational CD for teenage sportspeople. But at least I'm lucky to be randomly groupped with great people - the Magician, the Canoeist and Terence, who is purportedly as childish as I am, according to the girls in 1S05A. Haha. Also fortunate that we're doing a rather interesting topic, and not something like, Cold War, Hot War, or whatever. =)

Reckon this will be, most probably, our last meeting before the promotional examinations. Hafta enjoy this one, especially during dinner tonight, which will be at Carol's family restaurant. Yummy.

Oh no.. My lip is still swollen. Painful.. Hafta use only the right part of my mouth to enjoy the delicacies then. Haha.

I hope I won't lose my tooth

Played handball during PE this afternoon. Scored only 3 goals, out of 5 attempts. =( What was embarrassing was that the ball slipped from my hand at a moment and was stolen by a Physics teacher (1S03K's civics tutor I think but I don't know what his name is haha), and he scored. That's all my fault. I hafta admit.

And what was even more unlucky today was that I was sorta headbutted by Jing Xuan on my mouth during the game. Bled. Sore. Tooth shaken. But continued with the game as girls were watching with enthusiasm that's not seen during Physics lectures. Haha. And now I can't even eat my beef balls with ease... Sighz... Painful.

Principles

Just came back from school. Had dinner with Liu Hao at Junction 8. Going to J8 brought immense memories from the RI days. This was our Orchard Road. This was our after-school creek. This was where we made friendships treasurable. Oh well. Nostalgia just creeps up my spine every time I come here nowadays, spotting something new in this old place.

The world has come to an end, really. Everyone is studying like freaks. Even the notoriously slacky Zhafri has stopped his usual pool trips to town and mugs from day to night. In addition, his target is to take 3 S-papers next year. Simply out of point. But not for a smart geppie like him of course.

It's not that I'm not studying at all. But it's just my analogy to always live happily and not force anyone, including myself, to do anything that he/she dislikes to. So what if it's exam period now? Reckon life still goes on as per normal. I'm not gonna risk my life forcing myself to study way past my bedtime (which is around 10pm, hehe) and getting eye-bags (which are signs saying one should stop and rest) and shorten my natural life-span. 'Tis why I always say muggers are the stupidest people in the world. So what if I will not be able to take S-papers? Will I be socially disadvantaged? I'll still be recognised as a branded student from Raffles. Hahaha.

By the way, I hafta acknowledge my parents for their method of upbringing. No pressure. No stress. "Jack, just do to your fullest without compromising on your health and we'll be happy for you certainly." I love my folks. I love being born in an artistic family. I love my life.

Bad day with a new number

Only realised that I brought the wrong SIM card on my way to school, when I saw Joanne, my ex-OG-mate who is now in NJC and wanted to sms her. One whole day without a handphone is really bad. Not only have to survive a dreadful day without one of the only forms of entertainment in the run-down RJC, also couldn't reach people who are waiting for my stuff. Bad, bad.

The number retain system is really imcomplete. And I hafta blame on my bad-timing to change number now. Only calls to the old number are diverted to the new ones, but not the messages. How dumb. Still have to tell the whole world that I've changed my number and make myself seem stupid.

By the way, didn't know Amanda N is gonna represent the island in SEA games. That's really cool. Hafta catch the fin swimming actions from her on TV this December! Haha.

Yay. Tomorrow's Handball Day. =)

Serangoonies

Skipped the GP mock exam this afternoon to attend Metro CIP meeting at paragon with Minli and the Amandas. Did nothing but have lunch there and was brought around by a Metro lady, only to find the place we are gonna set up the booth is surrounded by lingeries. It was rather awkward, and I could see the Amandas exchanging long glances. Could do nothing much other than saying, "I think we should have more activities attracting female customers then." Haha.

Oh, by the way, Thai Express sells extremely spicy food. Tried a bit of Amanda C's Fire Noodles and was nearly killed by the spices. Not gonna have that until my Pimple Period leaves me for good.

Got to know that Amanda the swim capt stays around the area too. Another Serangoonie. Always thought she's just another swimmer who could outpace me in 2.4 (Oops, I'm utterly slow.) but never knew that she's a national fin swimmer. Cool.

The best thing is that she told me Kooi Fei's called Doreen. And Kooi Fei hates people calling her that. Yay. Finally found THE Kooi Fei-repellent to protect myself and my notes getting vandalised by her. Haha.

It's all the ball's fault

Crazily wasted 2 hours playing basketball with Rayner, Liu Hao and Zhi Kai, on only a game of A-B-C. Felt spastic, all of us, after missing shots continuously 3 feet from the net. No. 6 laughed like a madman throughout. And the shooter blamed it on the ball. I think so too. My NBA 1999 ball was cracky, hairy and close to weightless after bearing a few years of intense abuse. Hahaha.

If only raffles basketball has got a little bit of funds to purchase a few descent balls. It's now really up to the pathetic state that we've kidnapped 3 of the girls' Grade 1 Pointer balls 3 months ago and still haven't returned. We can't return till we get some new balls coz they are ruined - 3 degree injuries - scarred, peeled, stained with sweat, etc. Arghz. I feel quite bad. But I think the girls are generous folks. They'll forgive us. =)

Prospects

Was thinking about life after JC and army for the last few days, and couldn't even sleep well because of it. For years I've been vividly dreaming, or rather determined, to study abroad, but now it's seems somewhat vague.

Wanted to go overseas, UK or US, in whatever branded or brandless university, to just escape from the bars of rigidity on the island and the unwelcomed hectic city life, to somewhere far away, where there're serenity and comfort. Perhaps I'm really getting old, thinking about this kind of thoughts of retirement and retreat. But I just want to get out of this pathetic place.

However, after much thoughts last week. I've settled on an unsettling mind that maybe I should stay in Singapore just for a little while more to attain my Bachelor's. In this case, I can save lots of money for the future. Besides this, it's also easier to get a basic degree on the island first, before hopping abroad for further studies. Although almost all the friends I've made are dying to studies in the US, I think I should just be a wee different from them. After all, it's my life, not theirs. I rule it.

Well, seriously I don't know for sure where I am heading to and what I'll become, but the goal of my life is just to be happy always, enjoy to the fullest.

Let Fate decide this for me then.

Dumb

Been peeping through blogs and popping in to tag boards this whole boring afternoon. Reckoned my blog is really boring, unentertaining and uninformative.. But I don't care. Actually, I can't care. Haha. Had been asking Zhi Kai how to insert pictures through html but was daunted by the symbols one has to type in just to put a simple thing. Arghz. Think I'm not the material to master computers, or, quote Mengxin, I'm just a "Computer Idiot". Hahaha.

Oh well. Heck it. Go play CM4 now. Yay.

Hairy

Types of ponytails.

1. Thick, black, horsetail-like. Rating - 6/10.
2. Slim, brown, babyish-cute. Rating - 7/10.
3. Long, straight, rebonded. Rating - 7/10.
4. Tiny, microscopic, pigtail-like. Rating - 2/10.
5. Medium thickness, almond-shaped. Rating - 6/10.

That was just a suggestion of commonly seen ponytails.

Bunds and briads are another thing altogether. Haha.

I'm just bored.

Sorry, man

Think Zhi Kai was irritated by me posting the "Sickoes" on Thursday. Sorry, mate. Didn't mean to be funny or anything. =P =P =P

By the way, the weather are fabulous these days. Perhaps not for some but it's really awesome condition to tuck myself in my blanket and snore (do I?) for tens of hours. Hahaha. Reckon the average temperature for the past 3 days and today is like 25 C or something. Hope this will continue for good. But will Singapore be drown? Oh no. I'm being neurotic again.

I'm an idiot.

Yeah. Yeah.

What an afternoon

Great afternoon. Great basketball.

Chiam and Don finally performed. I'm so happy for them.

Basketball really rocks, for ever.

Tomorrow comes today

Tomorrow's the day. Last day of training before the promos. Feel like crying now. Oh no. Reckon I'll really feel emptier after tomorrow, till after the exams. Don't know what I should speak to my team about during the rather unusual usual team-talk. I wish everyone thinks like me. Oh well. It's not gonna be a sleepless night tonight, hopefully.

Thought about what Donald told me that day. The old boys were saying, "who are those shorties over there?" Haha. Erpz. We'll be back soon. And we'll be saying, "who are those grandpas over there?", for sure.

Basketball rocks.

Sickoes

Oh man. As Zhi Kai said, everyone's falling sick now. Perhaps it's the pre-exams syndrome. But it's not yet 2 weeks from them. And I didn't fall sick because of that.. More because of playing too much computer games overnight probably. Haha.

Oh well. Bless Zhi Kai and Sarah. Hope they'll not fall sick. And to all, too.

Back to school

After slacking for a whole day without going classes nor training, I'm back. (yeah, big deal huh.) Still feeling kinda unwell and groggy. Btw, PW is driving me nuts, or rather, driving me back to my illness. Arghz. Reckon everyone thinks the same way too.. Why doesn't someone just go straight to the Minister of Education (whoever that is, I've no idea hahaha) and give him a piece of our common minds about this trashy idea??

Sick

'Tis bad

Having a really bad running nose now. And was embarrassed totally on the 105 back just now- sneezing non-stop, and finding that I had not a single piece of tissue paper with me, I had to use my PE shirt to wipe my nose! How embarrassing! Wanted to get off the bus and take a taxi home or something but reckoned I shouldn't waste money nowadays when I'm spending bombs on just food to fill my tummy every time I feel hungry (which is like once in 2 hours). I felt so out of face that I exited the bus through the front door in split seconds so that I won't give a chance to anyone sitting behind me to see my face at all. Haha.

Think it's time to have a little cold, since I haven't been falling sick for ages. Yay. It'll go away hopefully after tomorrow's basketball training, like it always did.

Tuesday Blues

Today's THE sad day of the week. School ends at 7pm for me. Art History from 5 - 7. And I haven't done any of the 3 essay questions.. Regretted that I wasted the 11.50 Monday yesterday by CM4. Sighz.

Haha. Ironically enough, I'm having art class now. Slacking in front of the big black Dell. =D

Hope I'll have a nice day ahead.

New term

New term commenced. But I felt sick, strangely. First time feeling somewhat unwell on the first day of term. Perhaps I've been playing too much of CM4.. Totally addicted.

Oh and sec 4s' prelims'll be over in 2 weeks time! Yay. Happy for them. =) Well, I feel old year after year, as in, really really old. Sighz. I'm a sickly old man.

The school's ours!

And so this is the end of the holidays. Yay! No! Don't know.. Haha.

Just realised that the J2s are officially out of school since after Teacher's Day. Whoa. Here we go with the whole ramshackle RJC. Hah.

MAF, Muffti day.

MAF was quite nice a even, which RJ doesn't have, perhaps, will never have. Haha. Frankly, it's just like another squeezy clubbing party where everyone's in their cool shape and gathering with current and old friends, but less happening. Well, saw a lot of friends there. Twelve out of thirty of my 4A classmates were there, and reckoned that one-tenth of the people there were from RJ haha. i.e. Mass crashing. =P

It brough back memories back in RI where we had our annual Muffti Day, the day on which everyone wears their cool dude clothes and stuff to school for lessons. Haha. And there'll certainly be dudes like Capt David and his classmates wearing Sarons, and few lamers impressing their teachers with school uniforms, with ties. =D

Oh wellz.

Anticipation

Didn't know so many people didn't know what MAF is. Thought it's quite a grand even in HCJC and a lot of people would crash into it every year. Perhaps it's not that great after all. Haha.

And I'm gonna do it this year. Haha. It's gonna be our 4A class gathering again. Yay. =) Hope to see my ex-classmates who are not in RJC later. Miss the days, man.

Well, we'll see what've they got there. Show me your stuff, Hwa Chongnians! (that's what the HCJC head councillor called themselves when they came down to RI last year) Lol.

One fine day

What a great day.

Went town with Baowen and Hongkai. Slacked around. Played pool. Enjoyed myself.

And yay. I'm so so so grateful to Hongkai now. He burnt me a cd containing MSN Messenger 6.0! Whoa. It feels so good to be back, really. =)

Start chatting. Haha.

Paranoid once more

Oh no. Was the dance on Tuesday that bad? Hopefully not, really.
The space in LT1 was extremely claustrophobically small. And we had to struggle with tiny steps. Think I kicked Selene accidentally, fortunately lightly, or I'ld have been manhandled by Zihan or something. Haha. Matthew said he kicked Dawn too, hopefully not too hard either.

Oh well. No matter how bad the dance was, I reckon we'd all enjoyed ourselves again.

Oh it's Friday today. Hafta do something interesting. Perhaps in town. Yay.

Btw, art history is getting on my nerves a little. So much to read, and no notes given. Gustave Courbet.. Edouard Manet.. Claude Monet.. Edgar Degas.. Pierre-Auguste Renoir.. Mary Cassatt.. Camille Pissaro.. Auguste Rodin.. Argh. Perhaps this is what they call "independant learning" huh. Wonder how am I gonna survive the art history essays. Hah.

Totally irate

MSN Messenger! Arghz. @*($^!^#!)!@$&!

Reckon I should just go and die without chatting for aeons. Hah.

I've gave up on ICQ coz I lost my password and thus all the contacts and MSN is my last thing to do online. And now, nothing!

See what I can do then. Sighz.

Frustrated

Still can't download MSN menssenger.
Arghz..

Tickled

Why ain't I able to download msn messenger 6.0?
Hmm..

Yes, no

Talked about stuff about relationships with Ray on 105. Felt lost, seriously. I haven't been lost anywhere for quite a while. Should I do something or should I not? .. -No answer-

Quote Mogilan, "Sad case lah, guys". Unquote.

Quote MJ, "Out of point, you". Unquote.

Quote Terence, "I'm sure." Unquote.

Quote Wee Ping, "Go and die lah, you". Unquote.

Perhaps I should quote myself, "Erpx. I refuse. To think about this" Unquote.

Someone. Help. Hah.

Faceless

I knew it wasn't gonna turn out well. Wearing the same "possé" costume dancing the same dance, and totally unprepared.. Hope not many people spotted all the mistakes (at least 3 zillions during the 1-min dance) hah.

Asked if anyone was interested to go town after that. Erpx. Zero avail. That shattered the already half shattered RJ image in my head. Everyone's really a freak here.. Even Clara N was found mugging in the canteen between the dance breaks. And so's Amanda C, expectedly though. Hehe =P. What's the world coming to? Man.

Oh well. At least, the first half of the bus ride home can be titled the most interesting part of the day. Hafta thank Patricia though. =)

It feels so good to be back

Yay yay yay! Fixed, or rather, upgraded, my com finally =) Needa thank Hong Kai for all his help yesterday. Went to Sim Lim, bought a lot of stuff with 400 bucks, and assembled a brand new com for the whole of yesterday.

Oh well. I can finally chat online again. Realised I've been taking things for granted in the past really.. it's not easy to retrieve what one's lost.

Project Y later in school. Arghz. 1 hour 10 min hardcore bus journey again.. Can't really stand it, compared to the 10 min bus rides to RI for the past 4 years. But, yay, let's dance, again.

Lousy blog

Read lots of blogs, realised mine's utterly ugly and boring. Does that reflect oneself? Haha.

Holidays are here. Yay and Sigh. Another chance to slack in town every day. But I've got a feeling, that it's gonna turn out to be a monotonous week unlike last year's.

Self-reflected for the last few days. Reckon being single ain't bad at all. Perhaps too used to it after so many months. Or perhaps I'm just waiting. Gonna stay like this further. But of course not for ever.

Friday, September 05, 2003

No idea

Nearly lost my temper to something tiny. What's up with me?

Wonder if friends are really friends nowadays. Pessimistically paranoid. Arghz.

... Anyway, gotta enjoy life now... hah.

Happy teacher's day

Reckon I looked dumb with those punk clothings on stage on friday. Coz a lot of ppl called me an eskimo or a skiier after that.. Well, I think the concert was pretty cool, with Ms Mona Chew surprising us time and time on stage. Haha.

Basketball membership has been cut to 10 j1s, coz coach told me we shouldn't waste time on ppl who either don't have the commitment or potential. Oh well. The reality is always cruel. That's life. (Considering I have to do the dirty job as the captain and talk to those ppl who got cut.. My life's it.)

Contacted Theng, after so so long. Feel real great. Bless her with my everything.

And oh. Gonna play pool with Baowen now. Yay.

Anyway, happy teacher's day to all teachers and friends who've taught me invaluable lessons in life. Thank y'all.
